General Questions About Visiting Union Gaslamp
Hours, parking, reservations and everything you need to plan a visit to our Gaslamp Quarter restaurant and bar on Fifth Avenue.
What are your hours?
We are open Monday through Thursday 11am to midnight, Friday 11am to 2am, Saturday 10am to 2am and Sunday 10am to midnight. Weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 2pm. Holiday hours can change, so check our Happenings page before a holiday visit.
Where are you located?
Union Kitchen & Tap Gaslamp is at 333 Fifth Ave, San Diego, CA 92101, in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. We are a short walk from Petco Park and the San Diego Convention Center. See our Contact page for directions.
Where should I park?
The Gaslamp Quarter has metered street parking and several public parking garages within a few blocks of Fifth Avenue. On Padres game days and during Comic-Con, garages fill up early, so rideshare or the trolley is the easiest way in.
Do you take reservations?
Yes. Book a table any time on our Reservations page through OpenTable. Reservations are strongly recommended for weekend brunch, Padres home games and Comic-Con week. For large groups, email events@gaslampunion.com.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Absolutely. Walk-ins are always welcome at our bars and on the patio, subject to availability. Busy nights fill quickly, so a reservation is the surest way to get a table.
Is there a dress code?
Our vibe is Gaslamp casual, so come as you are.
Is Union Gaslamp dog friendly?
Yes. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome on our patio, and we even have a dedicated Pup Menu for your four-legged friend.
Why is there a 4% surcharge on my check?
To uphold the quality of food, service and hospitality we are known for, a 4% surcharge is added to all guest checks to help offset rising operational and supply chain costs in San Diego.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes. Gift cards can be purchased online through our Toast gift card store and make a great gift for anyone who loves the Gaslamp.
Is the restaurant accessible?

What kind of food do you serve?
When is happy hour?
Happy Hour runs Monday through Friday from 4pm to 6pm with $6 drafts, $7 calls and $10 signature cocktails. See the full Happy Hour menu or read our guide to happy hour in the Gaslamp Quarter. Happy Hour is not offered during Padres home games, Comic-Con or other Petco Park events.
Do you have a late-night or reverse happy hour?
Yes. Reverse Happy Hour runs every Friday and Saturday from 10pm to close with 2-for-1 drinks and $10 signature cocktails. Hungry after midnight? Check our Late Night Menu.
Do you serve brunch? Are there bottomless mimosas?

What drinks do you offer?
Can you accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions?
Yes. Let your server know about any allergies or dietary needs when you order, and our kitchen will guide you to the right dishes or adjust where possible.
Do you have a kids menu?
We do. Families are welcome, and our Kids Menu keeps younger guests happy.
Do you offer takeout or delivery?
Yes. Order online for pickup or delivery through DoorDash.

Private Events & Group Dining Questions
7,800 square feet of flexible event space, three full-service bars and an onsite event team for groups of 30 to 360 guests.
Can I book a private event at Union Gaslamp?
Yes. From a staff luncheon for 30 to a corporate reception for 360, our event sales team will design the whole experience. Learn more on our Private Events page or read why we are a top private event venue in downtown San Diego.
How many guests can you host?
We offer 7,800 square feet of flexible event space. Groups range from 30 guests up to 360 for a full reception. The private Cask Room holds up to 80 guests standing or 60 seated.
What private and semi-private spaces are available?
Choose the Cask Room (a private room with its own full-service bar, French oak farm tables and three large flat screens), a partial buyout of the Main Bar + Patio or Whiskey Bar + Patio, or a full venue buyout. Take our virtual tour to see each space.
Do you offer event menus and drink packages?
Yes. Choose from prix fixe menus built for cocktail receptions, group dinners, breakfast meetings and private luncheons. Our chef can customize menus for any dietary need, and whiskey, wine and craft beer pairings are available.
Do you have AV for meetings and presentations?
Yes. The venue has 14 flat screen smart TVs and a state-of-the-art sound system, and the Cask Room is set up for corporate meetings and presentations that need audio visual.
Is there a food and beverage minimum?
Minimums depend on the date, space and group size. Email events@gaslampunion.com or submit the RFP form on our Private Events page for a custom quote.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible. December holiday parties, Comic-Con week and Padres home game dates book out first. Start with our Holiday Bookings request form for seasonal events.
Padres Game Days, Comic-Con & Special Events
Steps from Petco Park, Union Gaslamp is the pregame, postgame and watch party spot in the Gaslamp Quarter.
Are you close to Petco Park?
Yes. We are a short walk from Petco Park, which makes Union a favorite pregame and postgame stop. On Padres home game days we serve a dedicated Padres Home Game Menu.
Is happy hour available on Padres game days?
No. Happy Hour specials are not offered during Padres home games, Comic-Con or other events and concerts at Petco Park. The Padres Home Game Menu is served instead.
Do you show sports on TV?

Are you open during Comic-Con?

Do you have trivia, live music or DJs?
